The wooden dowels are thicker than I expected, so my 7-year-old grips them easily without slipping. We hung it off the swing set and it's held up through daily abuse for a month now.

The nylon rope has zero give, which makes it feel way safer than the flimsy plastic ladder it replaced on our swing set. My 8-year-old figured out the wooden dowel rungs in about a minute and now spends hours on it.

My kids have been climbing this thing every day since we hung it—the nylon rope feels tough and the dowels give them just enough grip. Exactly what our swing set needed.
